Bringing with her 32 years of experience in title work, Barb Gehle joined Ohio Real Title in September 2019, at the Columbus office in Westerville, Ohio. She is excited by the opportunity to help ORT establish its footprint in a new market, and to help the company grow. What is the most important quality that you have that helps you do your job successfully?
I have prior experience in mortgage lending, when combined with 32 years in title, provides me with knowledge of the entire process and perspective on the full aspect of the transaction.
What are three words that your clients have used to describe you?
Knowledgeable, reliable, personal
What’s your favorite music?
I love to listen to music, and I really enjoy going to see live bands, with Bob Dylan being the most recent concert I attended.
What are you reading?
I really enjoy sitting down with a good book. I recently finished Michelle Obama’s Becoming, and am currently reading My Own Words by Ruth Bader Ginsberg. I love to read books about powerful women who have overcome obstacles to achieve their goals in life.
How do you think Ohio Real Title is different from other title companies?
Ohio Real Title really focuses on providing education for its employees. The company also works to keep things structured and formatted during the transaction to ensure a smooth process for both the clients and employees.
What is your favorite thing about working at Ohio Real Title?
Ohio Real Title really care about its employees, as well as its clients.
There is an effort to provide satisfaction for their clients, but also for helping employees to do the best job that they can, and to give them the tools to do so. The way they train and educate employees, combined with the process that they have implemented truly makes the entire process smoother for everyone involved.
When you are not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
I like to spend time riding motorcycles with a friend, at least when the weather allows – time is getting a little limited as we head into another Ohio winter. I also love being with my family, especially my six grandchildren.
