The Ohio Real Title team is excited to welcome our newest sales representative, Debbie King. Though new to Ohio Real Title, Debbie is no stranger to the title insurance industry.
Known by her colleagues and clients as a dependable source of knowledge, Debbie prides herself on her deep understanding of all the ins and outs of the business and her ability to communicate effectively with her relationships. She credits this ability to years of practice and longevity in the title industry.
“I get a lot of phone calls from agents on the buyer’s side, calling me asking about tax prorations, POA, or ‘what about that?’. They say, ‘Debbie will know that answer’.”
Beginning in real estate in an attorney’s office in Dublin, Ohio, in 1993, Debbie has built an impressive career wearing many hats over the years including sales representative (receiving Affiliate of the Year for Columbus Realtors in 2004) affiliate director (Columbus Realtors Affiliate Director of the Year 2011 and 2012), director of business development, sales team mentor, and CE teacher and provider.
Not to mention, she has served as an officer with several area realty associations across Central Ohio and is an active Women Council of Realtors member.
Looking forward to a future with Ohio Real Title, Debbie is excited to build relationships with her clients, and most of all, keep them happy. “I’ll grow here,” she says.
“One thing about ORT is their sales team, I know all of them really well, and Ryan Marrie seems to be a class act.” Debbie says. She also notes from her personal experience, the Ohio Real Title staff is always, “really nice and cordial.”
We recently had the opportunity to talk with Debbie King about her work, as well as how she spends her time away from Ohio Real Title.
When you are not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
Vacation, attending the Springfield flea market, and traveling to wineries around Ohio.
Please tell us about your family.
I have two children that are my saving grace. They are wonderful adults. My daughter, Annie, lives in Wadsworth with her husband and kids, Lorraine and Jack. I am Nana to them; they are my heart. My son Zachary and his wife live in Nashville. I try to visit them on the weekends and Facetime them often.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
“Sometimes, less is more.”
