After graduating from Ohio University with a degree in Secondary Integrated Social Studies Education and obtaining her post-baccalaureate Reading Endorsement for K-12 from University of Akron, Rachel Urbanic, an escrow officer at Ohio Real Title in Hudson, found herself working for a title company specializing in refinances. It was at this company, where Rachel was referred to Ohio Real Title by a coworker. Quickly upon hearing of ORT’s stellar reputation, she followed her coworker’s lead and made the switch.
“ORT really focuses on customer service,” Rachel comments, “and not just the day-to-day transferring of titles. We go above and beyond to answer questions and make sure that all our clients have all the information they need.”
As an escrow officer, Rachel closes real estate transactions by working directly with lenders, real estate agents, and buyers and sellers. She attributes her success in the role to her “organization, efficiency, and strong communication skills.”
We recently had the opportunity to catch up with Rachel and discuss some of her interests outside of Ohio Real Title.
What are the three things you can’t live without?
My 2 little boys, books, and dogs!
When you are not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
I spend a lot of time with my two little boys, my husband, and our two dogs. We enjoy going on family walks, swimming, and playing outside. I also enjoy working out and going to spin classes! All give me the energy I need to do well at work!
Please tell us about your family.
I have two boys, aged 2 and 4, and a wonderful husband named Matt. My parents live in South Carolina and my husband’s parents live in Florida. We each have a variety of siblings scattered across the country, but the majority in Northeast Ohio, which is great!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
My dad always says, “The people with the best advice are usually the ones who have been through the most!”
