A graduate of the University of Toledo with a BA in Finance, Andrea Pierce is an Escrow Officer at Ohio Real Title’s North Ridgeville location. She began her career in banking before earning her title insurance license in 2004.
Andrea found a home with ORT ironically after deciding to transition away from the title insurance industry and taking a temporary summer role to pursue other opportunities. “I honestly thought I wouldn’t go back into the industry full time,” Andrea recalled, “but working for ORT that summer changed my mind.”
She goes on to say, ”I found a company and president who values and appreciates their employees and provides support. The employees at the North Ridgeville office were great to work with and they welcomed me into the office.”
As a self-proclaimed “numbers person,” Andrea enjoys the arithmetic side of her job and finds joy in “helping people achieve their dream of home ownership.”
We recently had the opportunity to talk with Andrea about some of her favorite things outside of work.
What are the three things you can’t live without?
My husband, my kids, and Reese’s peanut butter cups.
When you are not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
I love to golf, read, travel, and go to Guardians’ games.
Please tell us about your family.
I have been married to my husband, Ed for 36 years. We have 3 children, Lindsay who is 24 years old, Patrick is 27, and Christine who passed away in 1993. I also have 2 Bichon Frise dogs, Cosmo and Lucky, who are my life now that the kids are grown.
What are three words that your clients and/or colleagues have used to describe you?
Honest, hard working, and funny.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received?
My dad always told me to learn from your mistakes.
