Serving as the Branch Manager and Escrow Officer for the North Ridgeville location, Nanci Huffman coordinates the escrow process for her team at Ohio Real Title. Prior to joining ORT, Nanci worked in a variety of roles within the real estate and mortgage industries, including as an escrow assistant with First American Title.
Nanci prides herself on her internal drive to see projects done through completion, and her ability to build relationships with ORT partners and clients. “I value our agents and love the long-term relationships we have built,” she says.
We recently had the opportunity to talk with Nanci about her work, as well as how she spends her time away from Ohio Real Title.

What personal qualities do you have that help you to be successful in your role at ORT?
I have a drive to see things through to completion and will work hard to make sure things are done properly. I am self-reliant, which means I shoulder responsibilities and am accountable for my actions and decisions. Above all, I have integrity and keep my word and commitments through honesty and strong moral principles.
How do you think Ohio Real Title is different from other title companies?
We are given the tools and resources needed to do our jobs the best we can, and we pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service.
What is your favorite thing about working at Ohio Real Title?
Building relationships with our clients. I value our agents and love the long-term relationships we have built. I work with the best of the best.
How did your role at ORT change during the pandemic?
We had to put safety measures in place, and each employee is set up to work remotely if necessary. We also have taken extra measures for safety within our branches to keep our clients safe as well.
What are some lessons learned during the pandemic?
Professionally, I definitely learned resiliency and the capacity to recover quickly. Personally, I have really learned the practice of self-care to preserve and enhance my life.
How is your new normal different?
Like many, we are learning new ways to work remotely and online.
When you are not working, how do you like to spend your free time?
I enjoy golfing, working in my yard and spending time with my husband, Denny, and dog, Patrick.
What are you listening to?
I am interested in studying different areas of alternative medicines, so I am listening to podcasts on this topic.

I am loyal, reliable and obsessive (in a good way!)
